This story is frustrating in a lot of ways, trauma and disabilities can be used to enhance a story and make it more interesting and add depth to character interactions. However it also can be overdone in a way similar to trauma dumping so the author needs to be aware of how many problems they put in and where because people can tell when your playing with their feelings haphazardly. Problems and issues should generally be hinted at previously and create solid connections to enhance immersion abusing peoples involuntary pattern recognition behavior.

The author at the end of the day is weaving an illusionary world where they get to choose what happens. Preaching about how bad alcohol and cigarettes are and having your character inexplicably vomiting at them in an impossible scenario gets the message across bluntly. There is so much infantilization of the main character being held to peoples breasts, taking away autonomy, being in a place called a cradle, that it would shock me if this wasn't written for a guy with mommy issues to have an outlet for his fetish.

Like him not being honest with the girl about his taste problems, the only rational reason I can think of is if author wants him to get close with her and pay attention to him. Getting hit two times in a row by her screams desperate for attention. With that intent deciphered, and what seems like the authors dishonest habits of trying to make someone look good. It comes off as a creepy guy giving himself disabilities to obscure intentions and using them as a tool to garner sympathy or wish fulfillment to read when your bored.
