Impressive. It's a unique take in the genre with a unique main character.

The only downside is the repetitive info. Each chapter has unnecessary information and repeated things that were already told to us before, it's used by author to set the mood for the chapter or to convey emotion or whatnot, the problem is that it spans paragraphs and goes on and on and gets boring.

However, the characters and the progression more than make up for the downside.

MC is blind, can't taste, can't smell, has a short life, all these are curses. However, he also has problems mentally, he's been ab*sed and neglected. He's affection deprived and has a soft demeanor and is pure. He's striving to survive in a hopeless situation.

I love the MC and his interactions with others, he's not evil, but he's also not nauseating like those heroes that radiate positivity and want to save the world just cuz. He's a scarred and broken kid that felt betrayed by the world but he's just too pure, he tries to prove his ab*sers wrong by his actions unconsciously.

The whole concept of others caring for him because he's cute is a nice change of dynamic.

It's like everyone is spoiling a cute kitty and the said kitty is strong enough to beat their ass, but it's cute so it's okay.

A very well done character growth. You'll notice significant growth in chapter 80 and 81. Characters are fleshed out, or are on the path towards that front, since it's still early chapters, but I like all the characters.

It's not 'Harem" like in a "let's collect em all" type of stories. MC is not even thinking on that front, he's just too pure. It's more like the girls have affection for him because he's cute or disabled, so it's not love, it could change later, but for now everything is just wholesome.

The events and world building are unique, you won't get bored, it's not taking the conventional path like other stories with the same concept (academy + gates + reincarnated).

If only the repetitive information is toned down a bit, then I would've rated it 5 out of 5.
