Hm, reading the other reviews I was quite concerned about the propaganda matter regarding foreigners etc, but decided to still give it a try.

Our MC is Fang Ziyang who was reborn after his death back to the age of 18 after having lost his unborn child. Now he still had his "doting" father, was still the young master of his family and still had his fiance. But knowing the future, this cute dumpling became one filled with black sesame. Cute on the outside, but black on the inside :D

He managed to use his knowledge of the future to avoid all the pitfalls he had to suffer from in his last life and did so quite beautifully. Not only did he find his true bloodrelated brother, but also fell in love. I don't want to spoiler right now, because since my stockpile has quite a few new chapters, I decided to start reading this novel once more from the beginning. Which is why I will certainly edit this review at a later point with more information.

The reason why I'm writing this review now is simply because above mentioned propaganda matters and I want to point out that from my point of view, there's no such thing. To be honest, maybe I'm too dense, but if I hadn't read the other reviews, I wouldn't even have noticed anything amiss.

It's not that all foreigners are labelled to not know how to take care of their personal hygiene, but the author is pointing out a serious matter. Let me explain a few examples. MC has recipes from his ancestors which came from the interstellar era, some of them work like the spiritual spring water mentioned in any apocalypse-related storylines. They remove all impurities, make people handsome and beautiful and so on and so forth, you know what I mean xD

Especially foreigners are very interested in those, because they suffer from body odors or pimples and other matters which in itself is indeed something people are suffering from. The reason for this can for one point be genetic and for the other they can be influenced by eating and living habits. If you only eat fast food, sweets and other unhealthy food nonstop, you'll notice you won't only gain weight but also suffer from pimples and other impurities in your skin among other matters. If you're lucky, you can remedy it by changing your eating habits. (Yes. Food is just one point, smoking and other unhealthy hobbies can influence your body as well.)

But there are also people who eat and live healthy but still suffer from body odors and other issues which are indeed genetic, so no matter how often they take a shower per day, or cover themselves in deodorants and stuff, they can't cover up odors that are caused by sweating etc. And the author just happened to pick those examples to point out the effectivity of MC's potions. Nothing more and nothing less.

So before you decide to drop the novel or not even starting it, because you think the author is hating against any non-chinese people, don't rush to believe it and give it a try first.
