people seem to hate on this main character in this comment section but I don't think that's justified. He reminds me of Korin Lork from "I killed the Academy Player", but if Korin actually experienced internal character conflict based on how he has been treated, which is not a flaw. Our MC says he's going to try and live more selfishly - and then he doesn't, although he keeps thinking about trying. Spoiler
He has tried a few times. He feels guilt immediately, but although he doesn't know it, every time he does it he's pulling the other character out of a worse situation.
[collapse]I actually like the girls too - all so far have personality and anxieties. The novel isn't glorifying the idol world either. As for their relationship with MC: If you like heavy love, you will like this novel. SpoilerWe haven't seen overtly yandere tendencies, but this is absolutely a relationship of dependency. He pulls them out of such awful situations that they begin to rely on him emotionally and seek validation from him. He has no intentions so far of seeing them any way aside from as essentially little sisters he really wants to succeed. That's better character writing in my book than "well they just really like him", but it won't be for everyone.
[collapse]I think the writing is fantastic, and the translation is of good quality. :)
