This is one of those brain-turn-off-ey wish fulfillment novels that you need to shut down your brain's higher functions to enjoy, with a s*upidly overpowered protagonist that is "so much stronger and cooler than everyone else, and everyone likes him except for bad people who he beats up and he doesn't have any friends because he's too cool for friends not because he's an antisocial prick, but everyone still wants to be his friend anyway because he's just too cool and strong."

The premise seems to be that the entire population of earth was suddenly transported to another world for some as-of-yet unexplained reason, to each serve as "castle lords" whose job it is to raise an army, conquer the native forces and their rival castle lords and eventually ascend to godhood. Uh-huh. There are a few problems with the basic premise here such as, "wow, this world must be s*upidly huge to be able to give an entire castle to each of earth's several billion population with at least several kilometers of land separating each castle, not to mention taking into account the countless native intelligent races that each have their own villages, towns, cities, and such" or, "What's the cutoff age for this alternate world godhood program? The youngest character we've been introduced to so far is literally a 13yo child, that's already pretty damn young for someone tossed into an actual death game by themselves. Is that the lower limit, or does it go all the way down to newborn babies? If we do have baby army commanders, what would that look like? If not, what happened to the kids left on earth? Won't someone think of the children!?"

Also, the MC is a douche. You can have an as*hole protagonist and still have a good novel, but his douchebaggery is presented as the "right" thing to do and I'm less down with that. Examples of the protag's douchedom include, but are not limited to:

  • doubling the price of the food that he sells in the early game because other people have no choice but to buy it to avoid starvation
  • flat-out refusing to even interact with anyone that doesn't bring him benefits
  • after refusing to divulge the race of his soldiers to the global community, getting pissed and holding a grudge against a random guy that attacked one of his soldiers thinking it was a random wild mob, even though they didn't manage to deal any damage to MC's troop, to the point that as soon as the global Noob Invincibility expired, he went out of his way to go find and mu*der this dude who was a totally non-threatening weakling, ignoring this dude's pleas to let him surrender.
Also also, it seems that anyone on the Eternal Comtinent can cultivate to immortality, and the gods once abandoned the people of this world, forcing them to face a strong interdimensional enemy on their own, making the local races all hate gods and religion, and determined to attain strength on their own. So when MC's angel troops swoop in telling everyone that MC is God and if they worship him they can attain immortality, the locals are understandably none too thrilled. So what does our MC do? He has his goons slaughter anyone with a high enough cultivation base to resist his angel's brainwashing magic, and then his angel casts f*cking BRAINWASHING MAGIC on the weaklings to force them to worship him as a god... Hans... are we the baddies?
