The Sub-Gong Is Being Rejected Today As Well Chapter 42 Discussion

Take it from me, someone who doesn't usually read omegaverse novels because of the inherent non-con/dub-con/r*pe elements: this novel is good. That being said, I feel like the author shot themself in the foot making this an omegaverse novel. It's because, other than the scenes which other reviewers like Aldis have mentioned (important context behind the heat scene Spoiler

Shin Tae-oh tried to give the heat suppressant medicine that Ahn Se-Hyun brought with him first, but Se-hyun's body was rejecting it because he was already in heat, thus leading to the necessary s*xual act to relieve Se-hyun's body before the doctor could come with stronger medicine

[collapse]), the novel does not go hot and heavy with the s*x scenes, and immediately into the romantic relationship. It's slow burn. Which doesn't satisfy the people who like omegaverse because of the quick s*x and pivot to a relationship (which is probably most omegaverse fans). At the same time, including these scenes at all in the novel alienates the people who could have liked this novel if it was purely just a BL's novel. It's a shame, because the (incredibly cute and wholesome) relationship between Ahn Se-hyun and Shin Tae-oh is not even dependent on the omegaverse aspects. Because Shin Tae-oh didn't fall in love with Se-hyun for that reason.
