The writing is a bit subpar. The characters are fairly flat most of the time. It just feels unbelievable that 7 year old kids are treated like adults. They mostly behave like adults too. I expect kids living hard lives to be more mature and responsible, but to still feel like kids. The author failed badly there in my opinion.In the later chapters the MC behaves in ways that seem very s*upid to me and are not justified by his character or circumstances.The MC's gift is interesting. Even though I was unhappy with the writing, I made it through all the available chapters before deciding to abandon it. So give it a try and you may be more satisfied than I was.
