it also has a rather unique and interesting twist on vampires. As one of the other commentors mentions, the ml's vampirism is really more an affliction, in the sense that it torments him (and you'll see later on how this causes tension between the leads). I wouldn't even consider the vampire aspect to be the central focus of this story-- it's definitely a lot more about mystery and family dynamics (and the twists.. Oh my), as you'll uncover later on! Especially in the beginning, reading it reminded me of a survival horror game haha
[collapse]i would've liked more from the ending, but as it is, it's nice and neat. Certainly a satisfying read for anyone looking for something to pass the time with, but nothing crazy amazing nor profound. The characters are fleshed out and dynamic enough to make things interesting (the fl, for instance, while riddled with fear, has moments where she tries to be brave) !
