All was fine and dandy until the r*pe (along with the physical ab*se, emotional ab*se, coercion, and manipulation without an ounce of excuse) starting on chapter 8 being absolutely glossed over because of the rapists looks. Yeah.I persisted to chapter 16 because I hoped there would be some kind of after effect. There wasn't. Misplaced drama, s*upid reasoning, gratuitous ab*se - if there was at the very least an excuse for his behaviour or if the mental damage was at least mentioned, it wouldn't be such a deal breaker.That sh*t put a serious stop in whatever interest there was in the story. Abandoned.
