this novel is purely for heart warming and chill. I liked it quite much since I read to the end and even extras. this novel is just a cliche on cliche so if u don’t like this type of typical chinese novel I suggest u search for another one.im giving this novel review purely for its rating, since I don’t think it deserves this low rating. honestly it’s not 5 but more of 3.what I likes about this novel:-cute MC with her own life aside from ML and her brother-gentle ML which really rare for this typical “overbearing man romance”. I quite liked him but to the story he was more like MCs lapdog without much depth or backstory-good family without drama or anything. parents loves their children and children loves parents-good antagonist (??). it was more like struggle for power than actual antagonist. but I liked that it involved whole circle and not only mc/ml/her family. it wasn’t some grudge against MC or ml.-not much cringey moments. this is why I read it to the endwhat I found strange but it’s not cons for me:-nationalism. it was... strange I suppose. seeing author writes something “everything is bad but china is good” truly was strange. it’s not that I didn’t see nationalism in other novels but here it was just so spontaneous??like wtf-how ML fall in love with MC. in the beginning it says something like “he saw her sometime ago in the courtyard blah blah blah” and then it somehow transforms that he liked her this whole time and was planning to capture her. as I said there is basically no backstory on ml. author just tells that he genius strong and so onwhat I didn’t like:-first of all I should say that favoritism of MCs parents pissed me of. like they truly neglected her brother. if it was transmigration in some other character with plan to rehabilitate villain I think it would sound like this “he’s parents neglected him and he was all alone they beat him and preferred his sister im so sad for him”. if you know you know... -MCs pretty mary sue so...overall not a bad read for chill in the evening after school/work. didn’t require much brain to read so would recommend if u have mood for this kind of brainless story
