When I picked this up I assumed the novel to be your average "beauty saves the beast", the issues being brushed off and the love interest magically healing with the medicine of love.I won't spoil any of it and will just go on to say that all of my assumptions were wrong, it's a heavy novel. I bawled a lot and it hasn't even been completed. The hurt isn't from random misunderstandings but the inhibitions, the fears and that comes with a relationship, and a relationship with a person suffering from the ailment of the mind are well portrayed. The characters are written nicely. The novel isn't revolutionary per se but it's pretty amazing at what it's ought to be. I highly recommend.
