Okay this novel, well manhwa too, is low key great. Great art for not only the cover but also the visual form too. Not only is it a good take on a trope, (transmigration into a villain/mob character) just adding the fact that she (and ml) cannot change their fate, as they are forced to stay within this melodramatic drama, (even better for this story as it is often a book but never really anything else) and act out their roles with FL, cha yeryeon the chairman coming from a wealthy background and loving family, acting as the main villain after her supposed ‘brother’ gets entangled with the og fl.

Spoiler

she originally after harassing the og fl, derails to the point of trying to harm her but ends up becoming enchanted by her words and thus throws herself into prison willingly.

Meanwhile, the actual ml, who was originally the og second male lead (the one who ends up dying for the main couple after og ML gets cancer) is also possessed.

Spoiler

He is the director of the og television show

[collapse]

Anyways these two don’t originally know of each others identity however after confronting FL about it early on, they both realise that they are trapped together and thus we get our cute and fluffy romance, far away from any red flags.

Regardless the, the vice chairman, og ml, actually seems to be a good guy and brother, however he is far too influenced by the flower of ordeal which ties the main couple down.

Spoiler

This idiotic flower expects the main leads to follow the novel (if they don’t they are faced by frankly creepy forms of the characters with blood red eyes threatening them to follow suit) and is what causes them to be s**ked into the drama as they are like paint who have to fill in this blank canvas (the romance of the two leads who are plain and cannot work on their own without these supporting characters) however since they in theory can influence the OGs by ever so slightly changing their ways, this can cause change and thus why the story changes and the personalities of the og leads follow suit as the situations become much more different from the flow of the original story as they don’t necessarily need to follow the plot

[collapse]

Anyways this story is like a breath of fresh air in a sea of unoriginal works which still seem to flood my reading list like endless filler, so I will definitely recommend anyone reading this review to sit back and enjoy. (Also I would have given this 4 stars truly, however seeing that pitiful 3.5 rating made me have to give 5 stars) Do ignore my status as well, i’m near well done just don’t want to spoil too much, thus why I left it at a minimum.
