A very good start to a "eat monster meat and get stronger" trope. The plot progression, characterization and world building are on point.One of the best things about this novel are the generous chapters that masterfully drips information without long, unnecessary expositions. It follows a "show, don't tell" mechanism. The chapter progressions also feel natural without the MC being a colossal ass-hat killing machine.Another great thing are the alternate PoV chapters. Unlike most novels where thy are used to shed light on people's feelings and thoughts, the alternate PoV chapters in this novel clarify background information and off-stage events which are very much plot relevant. But honestly, the early 6 chapters reveal so much information and so well crafted that it makes a reader feel satisfied without feeling rushed. I am pretty sure, a modern CN novel would have taken 60 chapters to do the same with short cliffhanger-y chapters and masive info-dump walls of text.My only gripe is that this translator translates so well and has sucha great collection of other novels, but their site doesn't have a working "Next Chapter" button.Long story short, this is a well crafted novel worth reading. 10/10
