Born as the Daughter of the Enemy Emperor Chapter 20 Discussion

We have the typical "Father neglects daughter because wife died in childbirth" but unlike those typical stories, everyone here is firmly on our FL's side and basically they all hate the emperor for his behavior toward FL. Even FL herself has such a refreshing attitude! There's no "I will act cute to earn tr*sh Dad's love uwu", nope! She refused to call him "Father" and called him "Pabo" (idiot) when she was a baby 😂 She's really blunt and doesn't mince her words.

(tr*sh Dad) "You don't hesitate to talk back to the emperor."

(FL) "I was taught that a ruler must never be looked down upon by others."

(tr*sh Dad) "... I am the ruler."

(FL) "I am next after you, Your Majesty. A ruler must not be looked down upon from a young age."

FL is so bold and confident, I love her so much. The relationships she has with the side characters (her maid Sarah and her disciple Ricardo) are quite fleshed out and developed as well. It's also interesting that characters are catching onto who she was in her past life because of the way she used her mana, considering that in most stories it takes forever for them to realize the MC's reincarnation/regression/transmigration/etc.

Also, a little spoiler here but I LOVE Ricardo. He's hilarious.

He volunteered to adopt FL after they kill her father and run away because he's now older than her and she's like "Are you crazy?!" 😂

And this was a snippet from his interaction with FL's father:

Compared to himself [tr*sh Dad], who was reconsidering, he [Ricardo] looked extremely relaxed.

Of course, that was only Artius's [tr*sh Dad] thought, and Ricardo was inwardly a bit scared.

'Wow, look at his expression.'

He's going to kill me at this rate.

I'll have to run quickly if that bastard draws his sword.
