Ugh, read the first volume and stopped during volume 2. The MC, Jill, was a “god of war” ruling the battlefields with 16 before being killed since she found out her future husbands secret that he is in an in*estous relationship with his little sister and he just wanted to marry the MC for her to take care of his and his sisters future children. Jill is a warrior but still described as very attractive and slender.

After she is killed she comes back as a ten years old and gets engaged to their former enemy who is cursed. The guy is 19 and described as a genious when it comes to fighting but honestly he is a ret*rd in every other aspect.

Also he is 19 and he and Jill make out (kisses and hugs) several times in vol. 1. While she more or less acts like a 16 year old (at least that’s a point the author got right – in difference to most other novels of this kind were nobody acts according to their mental age) she is still in the body of a ten year old. So despite the valid reason that his fiancee needs to be below 14 to not get posessed by a goddess there is no reason to be physical at all for now – and yet they are. This gives too much pe*ophilic vibes even though it is described as harmless as possible because well, the young emporer is a mentally challenged imbecile.

That also makes it unbelievable that she has the hots for him, just because he is good looking and a great cook. That makes Jill shallow as a character.

The one good thing about this novel, the MC can fight and she does. However since she is only ten with the abilities of a 16 years old it’s still too much to believe that she can challenge basically a whole platoon all by herself. But reading the fighting scenes is still the best parts of this novel.

Japanese authors have problem with ages, everyone knows that, usually I can get over it but here it is just too much no matter if it comes to fighting or relationships.

All moonlight muse books are really good and this one doesn’t disappoint either. Muse has managed to create good characters and i cant wait to see how it ends
