I was really into the start of this novel; we got that spicy psychopathic kid and also a smart, likeable MC who takes decisive actions. It was well-written and felt immersive and real. But in the middle, around when the kid grows up, for some reason the vibes aren't there anymore and the writing quality drops... Our MC doesn't seem to know what to do with his life without the ML, and ML is no longer spicy.Spoiler
Also very confused with the dynamics of their relationship. The whole time the MC had a platonic approach to the ML and viewed him as a son, but as soon as the ML confessed he just goes "yea sure we can date". Like wat. Where's the shock, horror and psychological turmoil??
[collapse]I'm still invested enough to want to read the ending of this, and will rate 4stars just from how much I enjoyed the start. ^ ^
