Really flat when it comes to personality. 152 chapters in and like... it's just a vicious cycle of her sons protecting her from the background, her feeling a bit bad for not being a mum who deserves it, and then there's all this talk about her gene which was initially what attracted me to the series. It had so much potential! WindyWind was right, this novel was quite the letdown. I kept reading on hoping, just hoping that the author would at least balance out the mystery alongside the warm familiarity of having a 'found' family. I wanted to love this novel, seriously. But as much as I love her boys, her one-dimensionality just gets on my nerves. There were slight moments of her other traits shining through which does correspond to the 'personalities' her sons grew into, but overall if you're looking for a series that won't disappoint you, then this might not be it.
I just hope I'll come across another one quite like it but with a much better planned out plot.
