The 31st Piece Turns the Tables Chapter 244 Discussion

I loved it up until 244 about Spoiler

Seol hong's arc

I don't really find her character interesting, the writing for this arc, in my opinion, reached an all-time low. It feels like I'm dragging my feet while asleep, forcing myself to read it just to hope that by the next chapter it's over. Especially that she isn't even

one of Seol's pieces, it's her dead mother that's Seol's piece

so it feels like we aren't even getting

much information about Seol's piece because she's gone. Another thing is, I have a feeling almost every adventure Seol will have to go through will have a connection about Dragon (?) Empire. Seol dislikes being tied up by other people but in order to receive his piece's will he has to fulfill their unfulfilled desires. Which in this case, wanted Seol to help her child. This arc will definitely take a long time since Seol needs to help Seol Hong to be the empress, which I'm not really thrilled to read. It's like Seol is not the main character anymore, with it focusing on Seol Hong more, which isn't that unreasonable since it's her arc but I'm not interested in her tbh. Also, about Cheon Ju, I feel like she's an annoying woman. If she hadn't f̶o̶r̶c̶e̶d̶ plead for Seol Hong to not stop participating in the Dragon's Flower whatever event then she wouldn't have gotten in danger leading to Seol having to save Seol Hong. Its like she isn't the adult between her and Seol Hong. Again, it's just my opinion. In fact, up until this arc, this novel was my favorite action/fanstasy novel of all time. I still like it, but not as much anymore.

I'll edit this review once the current arc ends and there's more interesting plot. Up until then, i'll pause my reading for this novel.
