Good translation. The actual plot doesn't kick in until around chapter 5. But the chapters before that do very well in setting up what kind of person Jiang Chan is and feeling sympathetic for her. I do find it a bit odd that Aunt and Uncle Mo supposedly love Jiang Chan so much, but haven't adopted her yet? Anyways, I'm looking forward to what the rest of the story has in store. The first arc is an ancient world. The original host was much like Jiang Chan, working hard to survive, the difference being she was not an orphan but forced by family. I like that Jiang Chan picked up some skills from Aunt and Uncle Mo she's using here. She is using the cooking skills she learned to cook in this world. I'm a bit wary, since this story mentioned "medical arts". In other stories I've read, when the protagonist learns so called "medical arts" aka acupuncture, the author constantly says it's better than western medicine aka modern medicine like surgery, etc. Riiggght. I hope Jiang Chan doesn't end up like that.Update: Jiang Chan requested, after the first world and growing old, to return the bodies to the original owners and let them lead their new lives after JC finishes her task. I like stories where the original character is happy too. Also, JC is only in these "small worlds" temporarily, she gets to return to her own world after every task is complete and help the people she cares about.
