The tragedy tag is the most fitting description of this story.I don’t usually read stories with cruel MLs and this just proved why exactly. I have never hated a fictional character more, in any story I've ever read, both light novels and other books. The ML is so, so, cruel. He is unfeeling, led by only his wants and desires, indignant fueled by indulgence, and greatly aloof and apathetic with the acceptation of anger and annoyance towards our MC.The MC loved the ML for over 10 years. Worked his bu*t off to become the top scholar just so he could stand by his side. But the ML feels nothing towards him. Only venting his frustration and anger out on him at any given moment.And yet the MC still loved him. To the point it hurt my soul to read about the abhorrent things the ML would do to him, and the MC would swallow his feelings silently just hoping for the slightest chance at the ML reciprocating his love. It never happens, of course.Right now I’m where he’s just starting to change after hurting the MC such an incalculable amount, that neither the MC nor I forgive him anymore.Spoiler[collapse]If you wanted to read this, maybe wait until there’s more chapters, because right now there’s nothing but injustice, bullying, torture, and cruelty. Not my cup of tea.
