This was such a beautiful title for an awful novel and I totally wasted my time on this, the only reason why I persist towards the end is so, that I can give this a fair review. Ive always been generous with my rating but this novel is so terrible giving it two star feels like a charity. My biggest ick

ML was an absolute ass from his very first interaction with The FL.

I love cold ML but not the shithead in this novel, every words and conversations he had with the FL was laced with sarcasm and mockery, he treat her like she owes him money and you thought oh it's because "her father was an immoral criminal which he himself put in jail" haha no, FL even confront him if that was the reason of his hostility, but this man simply treat her like an air, there is no specific reason. He was just too arrogant and lowkey a narcissist bc FL doesn't fawn him like other women. His ego is probably bigger than his dick, and he had the audacity to get jealous, and when gets jealous he treat her worse.

I still don't get how FL fell so quickly for him bc this man treatment remains the same even after he developed some feelings towards her and then he suddenly confessed after all the cold remark and he even mock her for having a tr*shy exes and said it to her face?? Like bruh, in real life this kind of man is someone us, women despise the most, the only good thing about him is his face

FL recently has a traumatic experience, living in fear and clearly wasn't someone who like to trouble others but was forced to live under someone roof yet everyone around this tr*shy dude, his colleagues and worse, his family. They keep trying to match the ML with her, they keep making this ambiguous jokes and try so hard to push her to him when this ML clearly had no other emotions except indifference infront of them. I feel bad for The FL every time she feels uncomfortable like I would rather she sleep in a car for god sake just leave the poor woman alone.

And this author noted that she was not good at writing romance line but in fact she was bad in every aspect, the mystery about the mu*derer was dragged on for too long (almost towards the end) you will lost interest halfway. The "dramatic" aspect was shitty too. 80 chapters wasn't long but wasn't short either considering the length of every chapters. But it was all wasted on the boring investigation scenes which supposedly to be "mysterious" and suspense But it failed miserably, at some point I skimmed thru after they confirmed their "relationship" towards the end but it gets worse? Like wth, the romance was so terrible I wish it rather not exist, the ending too.
