City Of Witches Chapter 17 Discussion

This is a terrible story.

The MC, a 27 year-old from modern-day South Korea, spent 5 years as a s*ave for a society run by witches, worked to death and ab*sed psychologically as well as sexually, and yet he still can't stop constantly thinking about just how hot his ab*sers are.

There is no reason or consistency to any character's behaviour, especially the MC:

-One second he is willing to do anything to escape and go home, the next he refuses to do sh*t that might help him achieve it because of pride (and don't even get me started about the author's f*cked up version of pride being that the MC will do anything but who*e himself out, despite the witch regularly making him jerk off in front of her and her students and him constantly thinking how hot they are).

-One second he desperately wants to keep his ability to use magic hidden, the next he uses it against a witch to save some rando who scammed him of what little money he had.

-One second he hates being used as a human dildo, the next he's totally into it.

-One second he loathes the witch that is the main perpetrator of his ab*se, and the next he overzealously kisses her ass, and even gets hurt in trying to save her from some debris.

And on top of it all, is the "revelation" that the witch that treats him worse than utter shit, an immortal woman who-knows how old, secretly likes him but just can't express herself.
