This is the second time trying to read this novel, and I still can't help but think that either the author began the story too early or just made all the children too much of a genius to be able to think about complicated things or even be as eloquent. I'm not really expecting realism on ancient Chinese novels but as I have read too many well build characters and settings, this is harder for me to read.

I also rarely based my opinion on some low rated reviews but as I've read some of those, that made me solidify my decision to stop reading this novel.

I won't rate this as it isn't fair to rate this after 10 chapters but I will leave my opinion here lest I convince myself to try to read this again if I can't find anything else to read
