I thought this was going to be a sweet story about a couple that love each other no matter what, but then I scrolled too far near the end and saw the line about the funeral and it was like a f*cking gut punch. I can't stop sobbing. I'm genuinely heartbroken. I don't think there's any way in text on the internet to express just how badly and sincerely I'm crying right now.edit: I've managed to calm down a little now, and I just want to say that this was really, really well written. Looking back, there was actually foreshadowing really early on that this wasn't gonna end well. Especially during the trip, I thought it was sweet but I was so confused why it was William with her, and why the guy was so quiet, especially with that part where she tells him a long trip like that is good to test marriage compatibility. The mention about how William and he got into trouble before seemed like a small line to make the world more realistic, but now it feels like foreshadowing for the bigger trouble later. I'm still heartbroken thinking about what will happen to her now when she gets back home.This was really well written, but I feel like for my own mental wellbeing I need to read a lot of quick tr*sh so I can erase it from my memory, otherwise I'll be crying for weeks and I will never get over it.
