I found it funny when parker first met the FL and he thought she was the most beautiful girl he has ever seen. The author went on and on about her pale and white skin she supposedly inherited from her Russian grandmother. In a world where most of the female population spends time outside under the sun (without sunscreen might I add) tanned or golden toned skin would be seen as healthy or beautiful. I would like to imagine that if this was in the real world parker would have thought that FL was sick or a ghost!Another thing I noticed is that FL called the other females ugly when she saw their bigger thighs and bellies. Lots of tribes in the modern world consider a bigger woman more attractive cause it would mean she is being well taken care of and could have more kids.I would think parker's first impression would be a starved sick ghostly pale woman, instead of the beauty she taught herself to be.
