Even So, We Are Living in the Present Chapter 52 Discussion

Keep in mind I dropped this around chapter 52, so my review does not include the later chapters.

It's too disjointed. It feels like the scenes were crammed in one by one with no apparent logic or progression for the sole purpose of going through a checklist of cliche dramatic scenarios and tropes, with some character interaction dotted in but not enough to achieve satisfying character progression. Even a plot-lite slice of life has at least some sense of flow and growth, but this novel goes like this: this big thing happened, jump to a month later where this other big thing happens, jump to this time later where this melodrama happens... etc.

If you do enjoy drama cliches and want to enjoy this, read it as a collection of short stories in the same universe.
