A story about second chances at happiness, learning to love, and trusting those who you respect and care for. I agree there was a lack of communication on the ML side which resulted in an unhappy marriage in the first life. However, it is strange the MC never made an effort to ask about the ML's life. I think that was a flaw the author forgot about so I can't say MC tried everything to help ML to trust her. Otherwise, he was a dense jerk. No, he never physically hurt, verbally ab*sed, or consciously abandoned her. He was just indifferent to her feelings and had trust issues. This would cause misunderstandings and feelings of loneliness in what was supposed to be a highly matched marriage.Spoiler
Spoiler
Fake Saint had kidnapped him and government tried to control him. He didn't want her to be seen as his weakness.
[collapse]ML learning how to express himself was nice. MC finding happiness in just being with her family was sweet. MC is perfectly ready to move on until ML shows up.Spoiler
ML realizes he needs to show and say how much he cherishes MC because she deserves a caring partner. They had to face their past, accept their flaws, see their present selves, and move forward in learning who they are now and how they want to be treated in a positive relationship going forward.
[collapse]Villains are just selfish, greedy people using the country's religious blind faith for power. SpoilerThe saint is low IQ and just wants to be spoiled as the only saint. The temple or high priest is the biggest villain because they know the saint is fake but they want any saint to gain power to their beliefs. The prince isn't a bad guy but he is controlled as he has little defense from being brainwashed.
