Well, I only tried reading this novel because of the fan arts...I thought it was going to be good, but... I was disappointed.

Ok, so... What threw me off was the MC/ characters and the part with Yerim.

Spoiler

It just made me annoyed that the two characters barely knew each other and known each other for less than a day, but they go on spilling their life story. Then MC adopts her, like WTH? Basically made the MC father in less than a day. Also, their dialogue also felt unnatural, and felt like they're reading out of a text book when they talk about powers. Hmm, info dump hurts my brain. I'm just so upset that Yerim trusted the MC too quickly, seriously. 15 year year olds should be more cautious.

Now, I'm only in chapter 16, but I already hate everyone in the novel, besides the bodyguard. I really don't like it when everyone likes the MC in an instant. Ex. That su*cide guy and Yerim. That's why I like that bodygaurd. Anyways, another thing that I don't like is that MC and his brother made up just like that because MC said, "I love you." Years of bitter fighting, resolved just like that. Sigh...I really don't like the MC...

One reason out of already many reasons why I don't like the MC is that MC uses pity to make people like him. Ex. su*cide guy and Yerim:

Person: I have a hard time.

MC: Me too! My parents didn't take care of me.

Person: Yay, we're buddies now.

Person: Oh, I don't like my uncle.

MC: It's okay, I don't like my family too.

Person: Yay, we're buddies now.

Annoying! Not everything revolves around you just because you're the MC! -_- Don't bring up your tragic past every single time!

He also lies to them, telling that they knew them before/ knew parents just to get close to them. So fake! The ability to make you more likable makes me annoyed too. Using that ability on humans makes the relationship fake. Do it on an animal, that's better. And-Don't get me started with MC not really having plans. Changing from scouting S classes to stocks.

Maybe I'm judging too early? Perhaps it's quite a great book later down the road? Cool, but so far, it looks like writing made by a fourteen year old.

Thanks for reading my rant.
