I wavered quite a bit between 4 and 5 because I truly did like the story but also was kinda tired of it at the same time. It is a good story, I like MC’s spunk and how he wasn’t truly afraid of dirtying his hands. The banter is great, the action scenes are ok, and watching MC deal with everyone vying for his attention (and deal with his brocon brother) is funny.the thing is, the story can get kinda convoluted. MC sets out to live meekly to make sure he stays out of the way of his little brother this time but next thing we know he’s a beast tamer and the system admins are talking to him. I’m also not 100% fond of the brainwashing aspect of his powers nor how easily he spills his secrets (or how bad he is at keeping them) but I do like how he never changes in his goal of being helpful to his brother.
