I wanted to give it a fair shake, so I read up to chapter 39, but didn't bother to go find raws. I won't be continuing to read this, as it had an uncanny ability to make me feel uncomfortable. Some of this will have spoilers, but I think it's necessary to understand the basics of what the problems are.Fairy shows up to recruit a 30 yr old man whose just kind of milling through life, cog in the wheel kind of guy. He ain't interested. In fact, he flat out denies the invitation with gusto. Fairy, doesn't take no for an answer and uses drugs on him to regress him and change him into a girl. Then basically blackmails him because, "no ones going to believe your him when you look like that". Then talks about the only way she'd be able to make a living is by selling herself if she didn't become a magical girl.We then find out shortly there afterwards, after a pretty significant mcguffin fight. That the transformation/fairy suppresses her fear, anxiety, among other things. Which brings up all sorts of issues, since, well. Let's flip this on the head real fast. This is being done to ACTUAL 10 - 14 yr old children. Then there is the strange budding love story between her and another magical girl. Mind you, this is a 30 yr old. This isn't some isekai rebirth novel, starting over from scratch or anything of the sort. This is a legit child, courting a 30 yr old who looks like a child and the MC is being all blushy and swooning about it. I also don't enjoy how the relationship started in the first place. She's incredibly pushy and tricks the MC multiple times in spending time with her. Then after he finally resolves to tell her the big secret. It doesn't seem to bother her. I know this is a bit of a cliche, but come on. If you weren't weirded out by the MC, you'd be questioning the fairy. All of this has been done against the MC's will. Ultimately, the story is incredibly sub part. The plot doesn't make a lick of logical sense and the MC is ever more of a strange case.
