The story has had a good balance between realism and magical girl so far. The MC is a hard working adult who gets thrown headfirst into a traditional magical girl story. Little girls with magic powers who are fighting against monsters in separate spaces, with fairy helpers performing "plot armor" like making no one question the oddities.Except he wasn't a willing participant. His fairy changed his body without his consent and made it so he had no option other than to become a magical girl to get his life back. Later he uncovers other changes that have been forced onto him showing him even more that the system isn't his friend or on his side. But even so, the magical girl system is helping people and many of the magical girls themselves are sincerely trying to befriend him. Things aren't black or white and the realism of points/money/fame can't be separated from the innocent people working to help others.I'm looking forward to seeing where the plot goes.
