Started out pretty good and I had high hopes for this series. The weak protagonist and the fact that the backstory for some of the inventions were glossed over wasn't something that negatively affected the story. The slaving girls only thing and 12 being the right age for something or the other was weird and the affection between the s*aves and the MCs were forced but it felt like a nice slice of life kind of story.There are some huge plotholes though and the middle chapters feels like things happen because the author thought they should happen. There is no rhyme or reason for a lot of the plot developments.
