I always hate novels depicting villainess' family capable of throwing their daughter. Although a greedy family would happily punish or kill their daughter for tainting their reputation, they would far hate the royal family and the rest for "stepping at their dog without looking at the owner". Breaking engagement and puting out their dirty mud to the public would cause political conflicts
