Unfortunately, only 2 stars. The story eventually has not much to it Even at this chapter, it is unclear what the MC's actual character is, which means that this person is not relatable or even someone you could sympathise with. His motivations are extremely impersonal... The ML is kind of the same, and, while it is clearly explained in the story that they are kind of pinning for each other, it came a little out of nowhere. They didn't have any prolonged interactions or anything special. Only the MC refusing interc**rse in a "clever" way. I can't believe I am even writing this.Basically, they have this relationship, which is as empty as it can be and there is little need to romanticise it - somebody rich sponsors someone poor, who basically serves the other. Somehow this is supposed to be romantic, with the MC continuously adhering to whatever the ML wants.. The MC is a bit lifeless, who even is this guy... judging from other reviews, we never find out.The ML is just a weird person for even seeking out this strange "golden backer" relationship, what does that actually say about a person? How can anyone think it is romantic, that someone wants to pay the big buck so that they have a partner that will always just agree with everything - basically, a problem-free "relationship"? Just think about it a little more - a rich guy, who grew up not lacking for anything at all - instead of simply having a regular relationship, he intentionally wants to "buy" a person... It is only apparently better than prostitution because it is for longer time and the "prostitute" can make a career thanks to the backers investment...That's it for me.
