The last thing I read before closing the tab is him beating up an actor IN THE MIDDLE OF SHOOTING?! Who does that? That's so not satisfying!!!! And that's what the author considers "face slapping"????? Wouldn't it have been way more satisfying to see that actor horrified once he realized who he offended in a more clever and classy way? And him saying MC is his "relative"...... sigh. The way he handled that whole thing made me sigh every two paragraphs.
He had to ask his actor friend to know that something was wrong? And he didn't even see the trending weibo #? If he's so great he could make the producer forgive him for beating the sh*t out of her male lead why didn't he handle this better? And how can he just be let into the production scene when no one knew who he was....
[collapse]He's also way too ignorant? How could he not know how the entertainment industry works when his company deals with that and he's a rich guy who grew up in an environment that shouldn't be that different from the entertainment industry? I also don't get his interest in the original protagonist and now MC. He's a virg*n and never fell in love but he's willing to chase and spend that much money and wait just for Mc? How good looking is MC to make this man chase after him, he can have anyone with his status and looks so it's so confusing? If he had more experience and was a player and liked the challenge of not being able to get MC it would make sense but having him be inexperienced too makes the whole thing hard to believe.I'm going to defend ML a bit here. I read some reviews saying he's manipulating MC to sleep with him, I didn't reach the parts where the couple start having feelings for each other but even in the first chapters the relationship between them made me questioning these reviews. They're basically in a sugar daddy/sugar baby relationship and it'd be so weird for him not to expect anything in return. (And he still didn't even force MC tod do anything so far, that's his one redeeming quality, I guess.) SpoilerConsidering that the original guy was the one who approached ML and asked for money in exchange for sleeping with him, fully knowing ML was into him and wanted to sleep with him. And THEN proceeded to not only run away, accuse him of focring him and ask for money again but also go with someone else, I'm actually surprised ML forgave and trusted MC and didn't even rush him into doing things (which btw was super unrealistic). Even teenagers don't act the way they did when they were just exchanging kisses on the cheek. They're 20 years old, , , , , in a relationship involving getting s*x I exchange for money it was very gentlemanly of ML to introduce him to his friends and say he's his boyfriend to spare him the embarrassment and go at his own pace etc
[collapse]Despite my complaints I would've most probably continued reading if the writing style didn't make the experience so tedious. It's not even like the dialogue gives any information to advance the story, it's just them bickering and suddenly it switches to someone else with just a line, not setting the scene at all and that character starts talking to someone else too.
