I was really torn what review to give this story. On the one hand it is a nice, not to sophisticated slice of life/ heartwarming story, on the other hand it is story with the highest chinese propanda I've read so far. Ignoring the propaganda, the story itself is interesting up to midway with isekai (well, isekai with going back in time and alternative reality), heartwarming, face-slapping. Appr. after ep. 250-300 it gets repetitive and a bit boring but still readable. Do not expect a high-level writing or story-telling.If you do not care about propaganda the story itself is not to sophisticated but an interesting read. I followed the story to its end just because I wanted to know the development, although I was getting more and more annoyed with the ongoing applauding of the chinese governement...The ending itself is a bit unsatisfying as in the last few episodes the main character/point of view changes and the ending seems rushed. On the other hand as the novel is basically the life of the female lead, the ending didn't feel to strange.So, if you don't have an issue with over the top propaganda and like heartwarming, give the novel a try, otherwise skip it.
