Dropped. This novel was interesting at first but it got cheesier and overly dramatic after the group's debut. The plot has time skips of various length causing me to wonder "Does this make sense? Let me go back and figure out if I overlooked something." The two star review is cause I didn't finish the novel. The chapters have a pattern of fans gushing over the group, the group or group member is smeared, the public is disappointed and cruel, and ending in the villain being face slapped and the group receiving oodles of apologies, sympathy, and worship again. Repeat the pattern for different reasons. It's interesting at first but is overdone here. The romance between MC and ML is also super slow. As of Chapter 93, they both have feelings for the other but haven't confessed. Spoiler
The MC, Huo Ren, enters a boy band member selection competition as a safe haven from loan sharks. The his gambling addicted father owes the loan sharks and has run off. MC wins the competition and becomes the captain of the 6 member boy band.
