I didn't expect much from this when I first started reading because I thought the manhwa wasn't really that impressive but I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I loved the main character, the side characters and the antagonists. Each one of them has their own motivations, goals and ideals which makes the experience reading it all the more entertaining.Spoiler
The novel really reminds you, the more you read it that it's called the return of "Mount Hua sect" not "chung myung (MC) " for a reason. You see him training the disciples, managing the sect, creating alliances and overall strengthening the sect to restore it to the days of its glory, not just the MC grinding to get stronger (ofc he does that too but still). His every step is for the sect that he neglected in past life and he often doesn't make selfish decisions for his own sake like getting revenge or even just getting stronger on his own.
[collapse] I also enjoyed most of the fight scenes since they are very detailed and easy to understand.The MC is such an amazing and full fledged character, which is rare in this genre. The novel is pretty funny and at the same time it nails the emotional moments without overshadowing them with the comedy.I will admit that the praise the MC gets from other characters gets a bit excessive and some arcs might feel a bit repetitive but it's not to the point it makes you want to drop it, at least not for me.
