I've read this novel up to chapter 1760+ and honestly when people say that this novel lacks ruthlessness or whatsoever, I'd assume they haven't reached the quarter chapters yet. Because this novel incorporates many elements that will fill those gaps as it progressed. It's like digging up a mine and turning around just before you reach the gemstones. Whether it's petty revenge or only caring for survival, engaging in massacre or valuing human lives, comical or straight up gutwrenching depression, and so on—they have it all and they nailed it.If I were to say, this novel's most fleshed out charms lies in its worldbuilding, profound themes, character growth and psychological depth. Consisting of varied cast of characters with their own distinct individualities and relationships with the MC. I'm so in love especially with how the author drawn out realistic elements and makes the characters 'alive', each has their own valid beliefs and goals, neither good or bad. Also, most of the fight arcs are detailed, the suspense and everything are being vividly delivered. My issue with this novel is that its sometimes getting repetitive. At some point it gets a bit too detailed and delves into unnecessary parts. After chapter 1400+, the author sometimes shoots himself in the knee by forgetting or skipping things of the plot device. My overall rating: 4Totally a good read but i'd recommend letting it marinate for some time.
