It's quite fun, I like this novel because the essence of it is pretty chill. Each chapter is guaranteed to have at least 1 food, which fulfills the essence of a 'food' novel. The medical aspect is also quite fun, you have alot of unsual illness to solve.The idyllic life of these two is quite nice, all the drama and heartache happens to others while we get to watch as passerbys. While they don't start out in a small village and with farming, it doesn't make me mad that they have a restaurant and already lives in town. It's just a little odd that the mother and daughter who owns the restaurant becomes backgrounds while they're still alive. Like, they're the ones who owns the restaurant. Why have them there if they don't contribute any other thing to the plot? Some of the plot points are quite weak, but you don't notice it until after.On another note: I just can't stand the MC. While I understand why the ML likes him despite his flaws, as a reader it's not the same. He's.. Unlikeable. To me, all he does is frustrate the audience and he doesn't even have the right attitude. No other antagonists in this story makes me as mad as the MC's personality.He doesn't go through any character development and is the weakest character of the bunch. It's disappointing. I think while I can see his side and he's a reasonable character, subjectively I still don't like him the most in this story. This is purely a personal preference, but my hatred has gone to the extent that I'd rather watch him die + think that is more fun than watch him do whatever it is he's doing in the story now. It's annoying, but again this is just my preference.
