No More Regrets, Just K*ll Me Chapter Completed Discussion

  • #1
I bought the books from google impulsively. The premise is interesting & intriguing for those who's searching for tragedy.

At first MC is filled with despair that she took her life for God knows how many times. But she keeps on repeating her life.

The book should have a big tag for DARK. It's getting dark and darker as we read (starting from the end of book 2 for me).

I'm not sure if we have adultery here, because I'm sure neither MC nor ML nor any other character did. Please correct me if I'm wrong because I might skip the part.

Misunderstanding and Black Magic being the main sources of all the problems in the book.

MC was accused of using black magic, which she didn't do. And the fault in ML is believing that MC is the bad guy who tried to harm Dorothea, the saint—he thought she was his first love but unfortunately nope.

Somehow it started to become interesting when ML regressed with MC and has his memory intact, everytime MC took her own life.

This is where the ML starting to regret to point he is going crazy about MC.

[Disclaimer, this is purely my subjective my opinion and I'm not a good book reviewer, I hope I don't offend other readers]

Although the ambience of the book is dark, but the sadness and the despair isn't well delivered to me. Perhaps I have a psychologically immunity after reading the genre many times (?). Or maybe because I read with MTL, I don't know. But compared to other books that I have read, I had cried, wetting my pillow (and I read it also with MTL).

The way the author flesh out the psychological background isn't that deep, I feel that the author is trying to reduce the wording, sometimes it feels rushed.

But again for some reader, the book is tragic and already triggering enough. There are scene of su*cide, kidnapping, and torture.

The MC is clearly not the though kind of MC. She has exhausted her willpower and she isn't in her right mind to think things through.

Then, God pitied her and gave her a golden finger, along with a mission «to save the world»

So the problem is I'm not satisfied with how black magic problem resolved. The author made a big deal out of black magic. It was escalated terrifyingly. And then, how to resolve it is just that easy (?), it's plainly anticlimactic. Many questions are left unanswered. Everything feels rushed.

At the end of the day, I kinda regret impulsively buying almost the whole set of the book (I don't have book 1, since it has been translated).

It's truly a romance book with tragic dark ambience. Mostly ML trying to convince MC about his love. Mostly arguing about love. The supporting characters are tools. All of the characters are one dimensional. I don't find their snusnu time at the end of the story romantic. Instead, it only portrayed how obsessive their love can be.

Thus, the story actually has potential. Only.. The blandness betrayed my expectations. That's my impression.

Is it worth reading? Hmm, that's for you to judge.

For me, it isn't worth re-reading.

I hope to see improvement in the author's next work.
