Not bad, but is not good either. The fights are poorly written. They have no flavour (at least to me). They don't expose any sense of danger or excitement or any other feeling. It feels just like a job, no, a report. There are so many instances where the protagonist is in danger, but there is no feeling of danger transmitted. The power system is all over the place. It can be summarized as Levels or Tiers. The author does a poor job at describing how powerful each Tier is. All you know is that the protagonist, that is at Tier 2, killed someone at Tier 4. Wow... so exciting... there is no sense of achievement as I can't even understand the struggle challenging someone that is supposed to be so much stronger in this story. The author also tries to implement ranks (such as elite, lord etc.), yet again, there is no sense of scale. There is no end objective. No becoming the strongest, no becoming rich, no creating the strongest undead, no taking over the world, no nothing. The protagonist just lives life and does system quests. I mean, that would be ok if the novel was tagged as slice-of-life, but it isn't.You can consider romance non-existent up to chapter 183. There are signs of slow build up, but nothing serious.Honestly, if the author removed the combat scenes, the story would be better. The narrative is interesting enough not to get you bored. I mean, the main part of the story is mostly about the protagonist going though a philosophical journey about the equilibrium between life and death, represented by the professions of druid and necromancer. Which, is an interesting take.Of course, there might be some conflict with things you believe in already and what the author says. So, don't expect for the author to always be right as it feels that even the author has no idea what he is saying sometimes.
