I can't justify liking this novel. Spoiler
The whole dubious consent aside, there is an arc where the MC is nearly r*ped, as in all her clothes have been ripped off, she's been beaten for resisting, and she is in a catatonic state to try to protect her psyche... all for the sake of the ML's character development. EXCUSE ME? Is this a novel targeted at women or men? What kind of bullsh*t development is it to have the MC go through such a traumatic event just so it can make the ML treasure her more?
[collapse]After seeing the author stoop this low, I have no hope of this even being dumb fun. Suddenly all the dubious consent content gets recontextualized to something a whole lot worse and comes off as cheap and disgusting.To make things worse, the smut itself isn't even written well. Not only does it get repetitive with how little the prose changes between scenes, these scenes tend to go on for chapters.Try it if you're desperate for a new smut novel, otherwise skip.
