The title made me brush off this book too many times lol. Good thing I've decided to read this book since it is sooo good.I’m someone who reads book for emotional purposes, yeah the one with drama or angst sometimes tragedy. What I like about this story is that the author made it very suspense especially the angst part, made me really excited to find out more. MTL-ed the rest chapters but the it still made me feel very emotional.Some might dislike the ML because of MC’s pov, but don’t! It is the usual trope of misunderstandings that made it more tragic/sad, it just that the ML made MC wait for him (political reasons) but MC is someone who is very rational (ML had become Emperor so concubines is inevitable etc etc) Don’t wanna spoil because it was such a good read at least for me... but there’s a part where I was unsatisfied withSpoiler
The ML and MC when they sleep together (literally sleep on the same bed) they dream of their past both on their pov. There is an occurrence wherein they’ve stopped dreaming and it’s because........ I do wish that it continued atleast to the part they’ve separated thru death of MC. But it didn’t :<<. BUT there’s a part later wherein MC dreamt of ML’s sufferings after her death, yeah those 3 years.
What I was unsatisfied with is that I wish that the ML also dreamt of MC’s sufferings wherein he was avoiding her because of Su’s treason and country’s matters (life of an emperor is pretty hectic) also during her pregnancy (plus concubines makes trouble for her) she’s so depressed and premature labor that caused her death. More angst :>
[collapse]It’s their misunderstandings and insecurities that made it angsty, anyways it was also very fluff so fulfilling xD. The extra chapter is so funny lol it summarizes the whole book with their memories of previous life intactThank you to the translator for introducing such gem really. :>>>
