He tried to kill himself twice as of the 90ish chapters and this made Violet waver on her decision to divorce especially on the 2nd try. He knows that Violet would blame herself and he knows that so he uses it to his advantage to shackle her to postpone the divorce. And in here it was said that he still doesn't believe Violet when she said he was her 1st love. This part pisses me off because Violet was the first one to apologise to him saying it was her fault for making him angry cus she told him that his parents doesn't love him and that lead to him wanting to commit su*cide by plane crash. Like wtf it's the truth but this manchild denies it and starts lashing at everyone especially at her. And the most saddest part for me was Violet giving up her wish to divorce by postponing it and giving all the authority to Winter if he solely wishes to divorce and apologises to him for bringing up the topic about his parents. This is straight up toxic and is maddening cuz I know what it feels like to be in a relationship where u want to leave but ur partner would say he would kill himself if u leave. U straight up panic and then would fully submit to him and appease him just so he won't kill himself.
In the 90ish chapter he said he still doesn't fully trust her cus of her conservatism. You can tell he DOESN'T LOVE her (yet as of this ch) but only wants her to stay because he has abandonment issues and has inferiority complex.

And it's so sad that Violet still loves him and Winter doesn't respect her decisions. Oh and even readers would just say "cus of his past traumas" that doesn't give the excuse to ab*se Violet mentally and emotionally.
