Sadly the FMC is just not overly likeable.

Like yes, her situation sucks but the MCs situation sucks even more and that solely because of her own actions.

And as of now she does not even seem to consider feeling guilty.

Now, don't get me wrong, I do not think that someone just being an attentive lover or good person makes them a simp, that is silly.

But quite frankly, he has no reason to be as invested into her as he is, she gave him absolutely zero reason to.

Sure, it's sensible to try and make the situation work out but the dude swears an oath that will kill him if he does not protect her after like 6 days.

Why?

Because she explains to him that she would still be rather engaged to the princes, makes sense sure but it is not something that should get that reaction from him.
