Reads like a bad copy pasted story, because you have read all these tropes and story lines before, but with way better writing and characters. Also feels like it wants to be primarily a comedy, because it misses on Action and Romance. And the comedy is a big miss for me too... so just had nothing I enjoyed.

The 2 main characters, our MC Mob Male Protagonist, and his fiance, the FML have such a bad dynamic, in my opinion. Their relationship is super bland and boring, I tried to make myself care, and could not. If the 'comedic' elements are hitting for you, you may enjoy their 'dynamic'. The 'honesty' or 'to the point' way of talking that the ML (and soon FML) have, is I think supposed to be funny, but it's a total miss for me.

The dialogue is bad, but what makes it even worse is you have to 'decipher' who is talking, which I always hate doing. This is the kind of story that will have 8 lines of dialogue in a row, with no real indication of who is talking, so you will have to do the context clue thing, instead of Writing 101, going 'Alicia said, "....." ', or doing the 'Alicia - " '

So ya doesn't really have anything going for it... I thought it was an interesting premise, and I guess the one maybe unique thing is MC's family being at frontier, history of battles he has been in, and his family dying. But that's all treated as a joke each time it is brought up, so..... you won't care.
