Plot is really rich. MC is more or less a lesser version of a 'ends justifies the means'. His actions and choices depends on his goals or 'task' issued to him by the shelter. His attitude towards both players and npc is basically balanced. He sees the pros and cons of both group and leverages on it. For players, they can die just give them more rewards, for npc-aborigines he values their life more since they only have one life. But that doesn't mean he's the sympathetic type. It still depends on the value the aborigines can bring him. Though I'm actually just expounding on him being a utilitarian, he isn't devoid of emotions or sympathy. I suppose he recognizes the emotion there but just doesn't affect his major choices. the other characters, altho have their own unique drama, doesn't really interest me much. Yep they feel realistic and all and seem to have their own soul. But what interest me much is the possibilities that the plot opens up. The story starts from the MC being a salesman slash gamer hobbyist transmigrating to a post apocalyptic world with authority to provide access to his fellow gamers to come to his current world through a 'game interphase' or helmet like a vr game. By this point in the plot (best not read on if you don't want spoilers) the gov and other similar authorities all over the earth are coming to an agreement that the game itself is an alien's attempt to communicate with earthlings. I just wish the novel itself gets completed somehow. So I don't have to wait too long for new chapters as the story is still on going

The story goes through thrilling wartime then falls back to slice of life then back again. The pacing really satisfies me. key secondary characters are the natives forming mc's core group like Yin Fang Heya Xia Xiaoyu etc and the best performing players, Old Bai, Fang Cheng, Mosquito, and others. There's actually a lot of interesting players there. There's not much drama between players and alliance npc they are all very cohesive.
