I’m starting chapter 43 (having read 39 chapters in one sitting), but had to write a review. The first 2 or 3 chapters being the setup were standard fare. I’m not a fan of 99% of intros, foundations, or setups so I can only say it’s a standard start. After that, I enjoy it too much. I need to go do chores yet here I am. Without spoilers, the MC is a fun bundle of actions that seem contradictory at first glance. On the surface his actions are hypocritical to his statements and plans. The actions are internally consistent with his passions, objectives and experiences. He switches gears in entertaining ways, often pulling a compromised victory from a defeat of his own making. If I can describe him, He can’t get out of his own way, yet succeeds despite himself. I’m biased from 4 hours of reading and grinning. Please feel free to dig at my bias. I hope everyone enjoys it.
