So if I should resume my review, that would be it : Good plot, but quite a disappointing romance.

Now to explain my opinion, I would way the plot is very good : the mystery of the island with these monsters, the suspicious characters Spoiler

the past of each of the characters, the creation of the island with Anata and Jenas,

[collapse]

The plot advanced slowly but it seemed there was always an obstacle, a person who went missing, some poison etc. and to me it could have been reduced to 100-150 chapters (still with at least 50 chapters for the after-island plot) bc to be honest, I was kinda bored at the end.

This could have been better had the romance been treated differently.

The harem part is fine, I mean the MC is amazing and it's quite deserved from the MLs parts, but I didn't like the hesitation from the authors of what Margaret was feeling for who. Spoiler

Honestly, since the start, Margaret only blushed and has her heart beating for the crown prince Enoch.

But there is a threesome scene when they kiss which confused me and that I liked greatly but at the same time was like : is this scene necessary if this doesn't end up as a threesome ? Bc honestly it just instilled hope in me, that it would end like this, for nothing bc she choose Enoch at the end...

As for Kayden, so what, the author let him hug her, kiss her, calls her sweet names, confessed to her albeit not directly and for what : nothing. It honestly unnerved me bc this is not just 2nd ML syndrome, it's just making the lectors hope for an end who will not happen.

Now that is rather an objectif opinion, but for the subjective part :

The fact is Kayden was so much more interesting to me and I would have liked so much for the MC to have the same passion for him as him for her.

Enoch is too clichee : the ancient crush who rejected her (hence at the end it's like nothing changed from the ancient Margaret), the handsome crown prince (clichee) who has the people adoring him even if he has a bad past, the hero from war, the swordmaster etc. : so clichee !! And hence to me not so attractive

When Kayden is like the opposite of what is expected of an ML : the wizard everyone fears and hate, the madman for the people (like Meg was), handsome yes but with a weird appearence (red eyes), strong but not perfect, he can't just beat every monster like Enoch does, an awful past but nothing really helped him apart from the MC, flirty, not acting like a noble : I mean all of that was so attractive to me !

As for the friendship development, well that was great Spoiler

especially the Yuanna - Margaret one

[collapse] and I know perharps the author wanted to concentrate on the plot, on actions to change from an ordinary harem, but at the contrary, I felt like fleshing out these relationship more would have been so interesting, and the scenes between them were the most captivating ones.
